Lot# 449: The 7th planet from the sun was discovered in 1791 by Herschel, an astronomer. This planet was later renamed Uranus in the late 19th C. This fabulous appliqued quilt depicts the 7 known planets, their moons, rings, and axis angles during orbit. A written label lends information regarding each planet; the colors are bright and the background toned. This quilt is absolutely attic fresh.
