This album is titled "Our Friends in Great Britain" and was assembled before and during the Civil War by an Abolutionist. It contains many House of Commons members as well as Authors, Clergy, & Philosophers of the day. Also contains letters from / biographical sketches of many Abolitionists, Poets, Philosophers, members of Royalty &Political figures of the day, included are Charles Dickens, R. Waldo Emerson, Charles Sumner, Joshua Bates, Robert Browning, and Charles Darwin! Most of the letters and signatures include a biography of the person who has written the letter. The biographies are signed by George Thompson.
